About Me

I am an award winning artist with a BFA in Sculpture from Colorado State University and a Masters in Educational Leadership, Renewal, & Change.  My inspiration tends to be focused in emotions and life experiences.  The materials I use in each piece provide even more inspiration and in some cases have even more importance than the emotion or experience behind the piece.  My work has been exhibited and won awards in various art shows.  The College of Natural Sciences at Colorado State University purchased one of my pieces, Nerves, A Person’s Way of Coping, which is now on display in their permanent collection.  I am currently planning continuing my studies and experimentation with glass.

I was a member of the Artists Association of Norther Colorado and a member of the Poudre Studio Artists at the Art Center of Fort Collins where I administrated the Poudre River Gallery with two other artists as a team.  My main responsibility was curating the shows, but I was also behind helping bring in the artists and helping to improve the gallery in general.  I have recently closed my public studio and relocated to from Fort Collins to Colorado Springs, where I will begin teaching High School art while continuing my own art career.

As for my own artwork I started Raw Life Expressions as a small business to be able to grow as an artist and help to support my artwork.  I have two new lines of artwork in the works... my copper/glass weaving series and Entanglements of Time (a jewelry line).  Both of these new lines can be seen in my studio and hopefully will have some up on the website soon, so keep tuned for new things to come!!
